Deuteronomy 31:8

He Goes Before You

"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

There is a moment every morning when the day stretches out before you like unknown territory. New challenges. Unresolved situations. Conversations you're dreading. Decisions you haven't made yet.

And into that moment, God speaks this word: I already went ahead.

He doesn't send you into your day alone. He goes before you — which means every room you walk into today, He has already been there. Every conversation, every obstacle, every moment of uncertainty — He has already prepared the way.

This is not a promise for the easy days. It was spoken to Israel on the edge of the wilderness, about to cross into a land full of giants. The promise wasn't that the giants would disappear. It was that they would never face them alone.

You are not facing today alone.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that You go before me. Where I feel afraid today, remind me that You have already been there. Give me courage not because the path is clear, but because You are with me. Amen.

Apply It Today

Before you begin your day, pause and say aloud: "God goes before me." Let that truth settle before the noise begins.

"The morning is a gift. Don't open it without Him."
